In a preview of a Section 6AA-South quarterfinal, fifth-seeded Minnewaska handed fourth-seeded Eden Valley-Watkins a 72-65 loss in the regular season finale for both teams.

Minnewaska will travel to Eden Valley to face the Eagles tomorrow, Thursday, in the opening round of playoffs.

Led by Jake Amundson's 15 points, the Lakers took a 37-33 halftime lead and outscored Eden Valley-Watkins 35-33 in the second half.

Austin Ostrander added 13 points, while Jayden Beecher had 12 and Isaiah Adams and Austin Giese had 11 apiece.

Adams finished the night with a double-double, pulling down 12 rebounds and adding four assists and two steals.
