Bowlers remain perfect again this season
The Alexandria adapted bowling team has great numbers again this season with almost 30 bowlers in the program.
That depth serves the Cardinals well almost every season and it’s helped them get off to a good start this spring. Alexandria improved to 3-0 in the CI Division and 2-0 in the PI Division with wins over Dassel-Cokato last Tuesday night.
Eighth grader Lily Hjelle and senior Kari Berg teamed up to win their PI doubles match with a total score of 810. Hjelle had a series score of 410, while Berg finished with a 400. Junior Jack Botzet and freshman Stephen McCabe each won their PI singles matches, as well.
The Cardinals had a total of eight bowlers finish with series scores of at least 400. Senior Matt Froemming led the way with a 429, while 7th graders Harley Funk and 8th grader Robb Erlandson were right behind him with scores of 428. Matt Senstad added a 424, while Dalin Reiter (411) and Abby Neale (409) also joined them in the 400 club.
