Born Learning Trail opens
Several people braved the inclement weather on Saturday, March 16 and turned out for the ribbon cutting at Viking Plaza Mall's Born Learning Trail in Alexandria.
The Viking Plaza Mall and United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties joined forces to provide a new avenue for learning at the mall. Families visiting the trail in JC Penney's courtyard can participate in interactive learning activities.
The trail is an innovative way of getting children excited about learning and demonstrates the commitment to families by the Viking Plaza Mall and merchants.
Mayor Sara Carlson, along with sponsors from Glik's, maurices, Book World and the United Way were present to cut the ribbon to open the new mall attraction.
Other Trail sponsors include D. Michael B.'s, Herberger's, JC Penney and Viking Plaza Mall.
