Email

The Alexandria Blue Anchors wrapped up the 2014 season on Sunday afternoon with a 9-5 win over Rochester at Knute Nelson Ballpark.

The Anchors got on the board first with a solo home run by Ricky Sanchez. Rochester responded with a two-RBI double by Ryne Roper in the top of the fourth inning to make it 2-1 Honkers.

Alexandria broke the game wide open in the bottom of the fourth. Five consecutive hits scored three runs, and then a grand slam by Sanchez made it 8-2 Anchors.
