SHERIFF December 27

A snowplow hit a truck near Hidden Oaks Lane NW, Alexandria.

A driver of a truck reported that he broke through the ice on Lake Rachel. Only his back tires went into the lake and he was able to get out. The incident happened on the north end of Little Rachel.

A snowboard was stolen at Andes Tower Hills. It was black and white with Flow Five bindings. Value: $800.

December 29

Several garbage bags were dumped along County Road 8, west of the Interstate 94 bridge.

A car was reportedly vandalized while it was parked at a Kensington bar a week ago.

December 31

Approximately $3,000 worth of trailer axles in bundles and a large step ladder were stolen near County Road 82 in Evansville during the last few weeks.

Someone entered a house on Red Fox Lane SE, Alexandria when no one was home and went through the medicine cabinet. It’s not known if anything is missing.

January 1

A resident on Birchwood Road NW, Alexandria reported hearing five gunshots to the west and has heard them on other nights as well. A deputy investigated but didn’t find a source for the gunshots.

POLICE December 27

Someone lost a brown bifold leather billfold containing $20, a debit card, Colorado driver’s license and other items. The owner last had it at Fat Daddy’s.

A resident said she was contacted by a “Mega Millions” scammer. When she told him it was a scam, he told her he was going to hold her head and slice it open. An officer is investigating.

Officers made 11 traffic stops for speeding, driving without a headlight, equipment violations or failing to yield.

December 28

A caller said he invited a friend over to his place after the bar closed but the friend passed out and wouldn’t stay awake long enough for him to kick him out. An officer drove him home.

A woman lost her purse, possibly at Papa Murphy’s. It was made of fake red leather

Officers are investigating complaints of taxi services operating without a license from the city.

December 29

A cell phone was stolen from a store counter at Game Stop.

December 30

Someone shot two holes in the back window of a truck parked near Highway 29 North using an Airsoft gun.

Someone stole a resident’s West Central Sanitation garbage and recycling bins near 4th Avenue East.

The back window of a vehicle parked near Zorbaz was broken out.

A driver with a nose bleed was swerving all over the road north of Bug-A-Boo Bay. She was given a verbal warning for going over the center line.
