Blonde and the Bohunk to perform free concert on Thursday
Blonde and the Bohunk will perform at the Red Willow Arts Coalition free concert on Thursday, May 29 at 7 p.m. on the lawn at the Douglas County Courthouse in Alexandria.
Born and raised near Alexandria, Brian Chlian has always loved the outdoors and country music. He sang lead vocals for the local band Foolish Boys and is well-known for his country western voice.
Sara Severson grew up near Alexandria on a hobby farm where music was always alive in her family. Severson sang lead vocals in two local bands, Dixie North and Incogneeto.
Chlian and Severson have joined their voices to form an acoustic, harmonic duo. Country music is in their roots and in their hearts. Entertaining happy hour and dinner crowds along with private parties are what they enjoy the most.
Blonde and the Bohunk performs covers from Johnny and June to Miranda Lambert and Florida Georgia Line. It also has a few originals in the mix.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. In the event of inclement weather, listen to KXRA 1490 AM for cancellation information.
The Red Willow Arts Coalition is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide the community with access to more musical experiences.
This activity is funded in part by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council with McKnight Foundation funding.
The series sponsors are Anderson Funeral Home and Elden’s Fresh Foods. The nightly sponsor is Windmill Ponds.
