Blizzard fall in first game at NA3HL Showcase

The Alexandria Blizzard dropped its first game of the NA3HL Showcase on Friday, falling to St. Louis 4-3 in Chicago.

St. Louis never trailed in this one as the Jr. Blues scored once in the first, twice in the second and once more in the third to snap a seven-game losing streak. Aaron Ryback, Danny Pelzer and Garrett Skinner all scored for Alexandria in the losing effort. Skinner's goal cut it to a one-goal game 8:10 into the third period, but Alexandria couldn't get the equalizer down the stretch.

Evan Bisek took the loss for the Blizzard, giving up four goals in 21 shots faced. Alexandria has a game against Flint today at 4:15 p.m. before wrapping up the Showcase with a game against Cleveland on Sunday and against Cincinatti on Monday.
