To the editor:

A response to George Weatherwax (All, some or none of the Bible is absolute truth).

Do you believe in God? Do you believe in Jesus?

The Bible tells us that God created the universe and set the planets and the earth in space. He created light, set 24-hour days by the earth rotation – once each day. Everything is His design, and He keeps it going by His power. Man was created in God’s image.

dam and Eve were told not to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil or they would die. They disobeyed when they listened to the devil speaking through the serpent. They and we and the earth came under the curse of sin. “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)

The rest of the verse is “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

God gave us the Bible so that we could know of His love for us. By believing in His Son, we have eternal life. To not believe is to remain under God’s condemnation. It is by God’s mercy that we can be saved. It matters what you believe and whom.

The Bible is a history of humanity. The first people up to Noah became very evil, and God sent a great flood to destroy all except Noah’s family because Noah pleased God. I liked James Roehrborn’s comment earlier this year. “If there was no flood, how did the ark get on top of a mountain?” Now he has died and is with is Lord.

Every prophecy in the Bible was fulfilled exactly as God said. God judges people and nations. Some prophecies are yet to be fulfilled. Read Revelation. It will be a terrible time of God’s judgment on this sinful world.
