Best-selling author, speaker Chester Elton in Alexandria in October
Best-selling author and motivation expert Chester Elton will be the featured speaker at Impact Alexandria 2010.
The event will be held Wednesday, October 6 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Lake Geneva Christian Center in Alexandria.
Impact Alexandria was created in 2003 by Tastefully Simple in partnership with other local business sponsors. The event is designed to bring world-renowned motivational speakers to share their insights with the Alexandria community and beyond. Past speakers have included Marcus Buckingham, John Maxwell, Amanda Gore, Jack Canfield, Zig Ziglar, Ken Blanchard and Stephen R. Covey.
"Each year, the event brings in someone with a unique 'take' on life ... always positive, encouraging, educational and fun," said Brett Paradis, owner and manager of KXRA Radio. "Impact is such a powerful word, and that's exactly what the event has been able to do for thousands of us over the past few years."
This year's featured speaker, Chester Elton, is widely considered one of the world's leading authorities on employee productivity, leadership and management. Featured in The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Fast Company magazine and The New York Times, Elton is the best-selling author of The Carrot Principle, The Invisible Employee and many other popular books. He speaks to audiences around the globe each year - showing how teamwork and collaboration can conquer barriers, as well as increase productivity, loyalty, innovation and bottom-line results.
