Belgrade couple injured in crash

BELGRADE -- Two people from Belgrade were injured Monday evening when their motor vehicle collided with a tractor pulling two gravity box trailers.

Karen Agatha Hecimovich, 49, and Michael Gary Hecimovich, 54, both of Belgrade, were taken to the Paynesville Area Hospital by ambulance following the 6:20 p.m. crash. According to a nursing supervisor, they were treated and released.

Alan Neal Kaiser, 50, of Belgrade, the driver of the tractor, was not injured.

According to a release from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, Kaiser was driving his tractor west on Stearns County Road 19 in Crow River Township about three miles east of Belgrade.

According to a news release, the Hecimovich vehicle was also traveling west on County Road 19 and struck the second trailer.

The crash is under investigation by the Sheriff's Office, according to the release. Assisting at the scene were the Belgrade Fire Department, Brooten Ambulance and Paynesville Ambulance.
