Battle Lake intersection to become four-way stop next week
DETROIT LAKES, Minn.-- Motorists traveling on Highway 210 in Battle Lake will soon be required to stop at the Highway 78 intersection, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT is improving safety at the intersection by converting it from a two-way stop to a four-way stop. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be required to stop at the intersection when work is completed Tuesday, Nov. 9, weather permitting.
Motorists may encounter crews working at or near the intersection while they prepare for the conversion. The new stop signs will be enhanced with red flashing lights. Stop-ahead signs, stop-ahead pavement messages and stop bars also will be installed on Highway 210.
MnDOT reminds motorists to slow down and watch for crews working in the area.
