Baseball: Panthers drop pair

The Parkers Prairie baseball team could not hold down the offenses of Menahga and Ottertail Central in two losses last week.

The Panthers fell 11-1 to the Bulldogs of OTC last Thursday, two days after losing 19-7 to Menahga.

Parkers Prairie was held to just three hits against the Bulldogs. Peter Lind, Ryan Peppersack and Matt Bernu each recorded a hit, with Bernu getting the team's only RBI.

The game against the Braves featured a strong offensive performance from the Panthers but a stronger one from Menahga.

Jason Arvidson led the attack for Parkers Prairie with three hits and two runs scored. Lind had another big game with two hits and three RBIs. Trey Thompson also had two hits and scored three runs.

It was the fifth straight loss for the Panthers, who fell to 1-6 on the season.
