'The Barrington Ransom' to hit airwaves Sunday
Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:
Goodbye, Miss Lizzie Borden takes the LAT stage on Friday, September 14 at 7 p.m. Lizzie Borden is the infamous woman accused of killing her father and stepmother with an axe. She stood trial for and was acquitted of the murders. Friday night's show looks at a "what if" chilling answer to the unsolved murders.
Directed by Ann Hermes, the show stars Sherry Bruckner, Becky Byrne, Nancy Klopetka, Pat Finnestad and Greta Byrne.
ON THE AIR
On Sunday, September 16 at 12:30 p.m., KXRA 1490 AM will air Part 1 of The Barrington Ransom, an original Sherlock Holmes mystery by Don Shelby. Holmes and Watson are on the trail of Sebastian Moran, a lieutenant of Holmes' nemesis Professor Moriarty. Holmes has reason to believe Moran is involved in the abduction and ransom of one of London's aristocracy.
The show was directed by Don Shelby who also stars as Sherlock Holmes. He is joined by Lonnie Wing, Quincy Roers, Al Senstad, Keri Mohror, Bruce McKirdy and Miriam Thornquist. Bob Piotrowski composed and performed the music. Sound effects were designed and produced by Kent Garlinghouse along with Daniel Roers.
