Bardwell to speak at Faith at Work lunch
Bob Bardwell will be the speaker at the Friday, October 22 Faith at Work Lunch, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria. This event is sponsored by the Unity Foundation. Cost is $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the Mustard Seed Book Store.
Bardwell is a motivational/inspirational speaker. He has been a paraplegic since 1973 due to an injury in a heavy construction accident, but he has completed more than 100 marathons. In 1996 he participated in the Paralympics in Atlanta, where he met sports writer, Victor Lee. In the following 12 months, Lee helped him edit the 130-page inspirational autobiography entitled The Marathons of Life.
Bardwell's message is one of encouragement and starting over in life. He is married to Jode and they have four daughters, including triplets.
