Barbecue benefit set for Linda Blom
There will be a benefit barbecue dinner for Lynda Blom of Alexandria on Saturday, April 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Alexandria VFW, 1102 East 3rd Avenue.
Barbecue sandwiches, chips, pickles and bars will be served. There will also be a silent auction and bake sale. Free will donations will be accepted.
Blom had a heart attack on October 18, 2012 and a second heart attack on October 27, 2012. The following day, she had a stroke. Blom has not been able to work since that time.
Since returning home from St. Cloud Centra Care Hospital and Abbott Hospital/Sister Kenny, she continues rehab services. Medical staff anticipate a year for full recovery.
Blom is the mother of Anthony, 15, and Brittney, 12. She is the daughter of Sharon Hoaglund and the late Jerry Hoaglund.
Thrivent Financial will provide supporting funds for this benefit.
