Bail set for Alexandria man in high speed chase

The Douglas County Attorney's office released additional information regarding Tuesday's high speed chase in Alexandria.

Unconditional bail was set at $400,000 for Joshua Hamilton, of Alexandria. Hamilton was arrested on Tuesday following a high-speed chase around Alexandria on Tuesday afternoon.

Hamilton is charged with second degree controlled substance crime for possession of methamphetamine in excess of six grams, fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, aggravated violation of an order for protection and reckless driving.

A probation violation hearing has been scheduled for July 15.
