The Brandon-Evansville Chargers were unable to slow down last year's nine-man state champions Friday afternoon in a 54-16 loss at Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.

The Wolverines led 28-0 at halftime and rushed for a total of 376 yards. Head coach Tim Pattrin said the loss was tough but gave the team a chance to try out some younger players.

"Today was a very tough day against a very good team," Pattrin said. "Through it was nice to see some young guys getting a shot and taking advantage of it."

On offense, Mckennen Plaster led the Chargers in receiving with four receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Tom Bosek was 5-13 passing for 86 yards with a touchdown and an interception. James Huisman led with 22 yards on 11 rushing attempts.
