Ashby’s Ohren scores 1,000th career point

Blake Ohren scored his 1,000th point of his career Tuesday against Battle Lake, but his offense was not enough in an 83-46 loss for Ashby.

Head coach Jeremy Knick was impressed with the Battle Lake starting lineup, and said his Arrows team could not hit enough of its shots to stay in the game.

“On offense, we got quite a few good looks, we just didn’t get enough of them to fall or maybe slow them down,” he said.

Ohren led the Arrows with 27 points, and Knick was happy to see him reach a significant milestone on Tuesday.

“He has always been a hard worker and a gym rat and he had a nice night with 27 points,” Knick said. “He only needed 16 of them to get there.”

Morgan Wing also finished with 10 points for the Arrows. Nick Trosdahl led the Battlers with 30 points.
