Ashby won by taking the second set 25-15, third set 25-16 and the fifth set 15-9 after the Panthers won the first 25-15 and the third 27-25.

"It was so fun to see the girls win and the relief on their faces," head coach Andrea Knick said. "They know they can win, but we had to see that we could do it."

Alexis Ness led the Cardinals with nine kills and four blocks. Madison VanSanten also added two kills, 17 digs, 10 assists and was 21-of-22 with 10 points serving.

"The girls seemed more focused, ready to go and less nervous tonight," Knick said. "They were moving well during the first [set], even though we lost. I think we could all feel that this was our match. We knew that we just had to keep fighting."

The Arrows did that and moved to 1-2 in the LEC in the process.
