Arrows jump on Chargers

The Ashby offense proved too much for the Brandon-Evansville softball team on Tuesday in a 13-2 loss at home.

Chargers starting pitcher Kinsley Randt had a tough time slowing the Ashby bats, allowing five earned runs, 11 total, over three innings. Lizzy Friedrich came on to pitch 2.2 innings in relief, allowing two earned runs.

Seven errors for the Chargers’ defense did not help in slowing Ashby’s bats.

Morgan Stelzer had a solid game offensively for the Chargers. She was 2-for-2 with a double, home run and a stolen base. Randt was also 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Bailey Funkhouser had a big day for the Arrows. She was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.

The loss dropped the Chargers to 3-4 overall this season.
