For most events, students learned and memorized two pieces. The students are judged on various aspects of their playing, receiving a score based on individual performance.

There were entries in piano solo, piano duo, piano hymn playing, voice, woodwind, strings and theory. Those who received superior ratings were invited to play in a Superior Winners Recital on March 3. Winners of the preliminary Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA) contest were also invited to play.

Performers included Sophia Anderson, Winston Anderson, Ki Blaser, Dayton Downing, Joria Downing, Maddline Dudley, Summer Gerhardt, Autumn Grasswick, Carter Grove, Logan Grove, Laynee Hartshorn, Lily Heidelberger, Bethany Hellem, Sara Hoffman, Amy Johnson, Terilyn Kennedy, Lauren Krebs, Kenzie Luetmer, Katelyn Malecha, Rebecca Malecha, Greta McCleary, Gabi Ross, Kate Schmidt, Rachel Stai, Macy Stender, and Chase Triebenbach.
