Area schools running two hours late

Schools in the area are running two hours late this morning, Thursday, because of the winter storm.

The schools include Alexandria, Brandon, Evansville, Minnewaska, Osakis and West Central Area.

A winter storm warning has been cancelled but strong winds are blowing around the snow that fell this week, creating limited visability. Very cold temperatures are also moving into the area. Douglas County is under a wind chill advisory from 6 p.m. today until noon Saturday. With the wind chill, temperates could drop as low as 35-degrees below zero Friday night into Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
