The house, located between lakes Mina and Latoka, was a total loss. Repp and his two daughters were able to get out of the house safely.

The cause of the fire is believed to have started from a wood burning stove.

After Alexandria firefighters arrived on scene, they requested mutual aid from the Forada and Brandon fire departments. North Ambulance and the Alexandria Police Department also responded.

No one was injured.

Sunday’s blaze marked the 10th bad structure fire that has happened in Douglas County since mid-December.
