Annual Employment Law Update to take place June 12
The 11th annual West Central Minnesota Employment Law Update will be held on Thursday, June 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Alexandria Technical and Community College. Sessions will include:
Hot off the Press News to Use: The latest developments in employment law.
Reasonable Accommodation and Fitness for Duty: The process of dealing with a medical condition that impacts an employee’s fitness for duty.
Emerging Discrimination Issues in Employment Law: An overview of emerging discrimination issues and how they affect the workplace.
Ban the Box and Criminal Background Checks: Exploration of how to avoid violating the “Ban the Box” statute and coverage of the EEOC Guidance on Criminal Background Checks.
Bonus HR Session: Recruit, Motivate and Retain Your Workforce: Tips and hints on how to find and keep the best of the best employees for your company.
The seminar will include a panel discussion with legal experts to answer questions about the featured sessions and other timely employment law topics.
