Anderson is the son of Tom and Angie Anderson, and his director at DMS is Greg DeGier. Anderson was one of 77 students selected from 216 who auditioned this winter for a position in the group.

Participants will work with some of the finest music educators in the state as their section coaches. They will be conducted by Dr. Douglas Nimmo.

The students will rehearse with Nimmo on Saturday, April 26 and will then perform a concert on Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of Edina High School.

The Honor Band program is an ongoing project of MBDA, a professional organization of band directors representing band programs of all grade levels from throughout Minnesota.
