Anchors sign second baseman
The Alexandria Blue Anchors continue to announce additions to their roster for the upcoming summer season with Cam Duzenack of Dallas Baptist University being the latest.
Duzenack is a freshman second baseman with the Patriots and has played in 18 games. He is second on the team in batting with a .303 average to go with 14 runs scored and 16 RBIs in 66 at-bats. Duzenack set a DBU record in February when he drove in nine runs in a 19-3 win over Mississippi Valley State University.
He excelled at the high school level at Melissa High School in Texas where he was a two-time district most valuable player and was named to the 3A all-state second team.
“I’m really excited to come play in Minnesota,” Duzenack said in a release. “It will be a great experience, and I’m thrilled to come play for the Blue Anchors this summer.”
Duzenack was born March 8, 1995 and is the son of Ron and Tammy. His declared major is sport management.
“Cam has been a contributor as a freshman for the Patriots this season,” said Kendall Hughson, Blue Anchors GM. “Dallas Baptist has put some good players into the league in the past couple years, and we are happy to tap into that talent.”
