Alexandria Motors hosts first Car Care Saturday
Alexandria Motors hosted its first Car Care Saturday for the Douglas County Car Care Program (DCCCP). The staff and volunteers repaired seven vehicles. Two were client vehicles and five vehicles were prepared to be donated to individuals.
Alexandria Motors staff evaluated four client vehicles prior to the Car Care Saturday. Two of the cars had too many issues to be considered for repairing, so the clients were added to the list for a donated vehicle.
In addition to the seven volunteers from Alexandria Motors, seven additional volunteers helped with the Car Care Program.
While the cars were being repaired, Brad Dumm taught classes to the clients on vehicle maintenance and budgeting at the Alexandria Senior Center.
