Alexandria Literacy Project offers volunteer orientation
The Alexandria Literacy Project (ALP) is sponsoring a volunteer orientation session for new or prospective volunteers on Tuesday, January 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Adult Basic Education Center in Alexandria.
ALP tutors work with individual adult students on basic literacy skills (reading, math, writing, etc.), tutor students whose first language is not English and work in classrooms with adult learners.
During this volunteer orientation, participants will learn about the ALP's goals, services and volunteer opportunities.
