Alexandria Industries bolsters capabilities
Alexandria Industries recently purchased the plastic injection equipment assets of a North Dakota-based manufacturer of injection molded components. This additional equipment complements and strengthens Alexandria Industries' current capacity to engineer and manufacture close-tolerance plastic components and polyurethane products for its customers' applications.
In addition to the new equipment assets, Alexandria Industries will also integrate TIG/MIG welding and full assembly services into its recently acquired, 30,000-square-foot plastic injection and foam molding facility in Wheaton.
"This asset acquisition, and welding and assembly services, reinforces our commitment to being our customers' single-source, vertically integrated supplier of high-quality, short-lead time engineered products," said Tom Schabel, CEO of Alexandria Industries.
The expansion creates the opportunity to double the size of its workforce with new job openings at the Wheaton facility.
Alexandria Industries, with ISO 9001:2008-certified facilities, is a privately held, short lead-time producer of engineered products.
