Alexandria teams finish 4th, 12th and 18th in the competition.

Finishing 4th and earning honorable mention honors were Colin Ryan, Emma Sieling, Paul Strand, Paul Yager and Ricky Cosmano. They put forth a consistent effort, running between 2nd and 4th all evening.

The Jefferson High School (JHS) team of Drake Johnson, Angela Breitenfeldt, Ellen Johnson, Keegan Jorgensen and Ben Vickstrom saved their best round for last, moving from 16th to 12th.

This allowed Alexandria to finish 2nd in the school competition behind Little Falls.

JHS's team of Morgan Hinzmann, Jade Guenthner, Vini Costa, Christian Thompson and John Turner was 12th going into the last round, but suffered from a "brain drain" to slide to their final finishing spot of 18th, according to coach Julie Duncan.

School scores are calculated based on the finishes of each school's top two teams. Complete results are as follows:

1st - Little Falls, 1st and 7th (8)

2nd - Alexandria, 4th and 12th (16)

3rd - Sartell, 6th and 11th (17)

4th - Tech, 2nd and 16th (18)

5th - Rocori, 3rd and 17th (20)

6th - Apollo, 8th and 13th (21)

7th - Sauk Rapids-Rice, 9th and 14th (23)

Fergus Falls - incomplete

The JHS team coaches are Tom Smith and Julie Duncan.
