The Jefferson High School (JHS) team of Drake Johnson, Angela Breitenfeldt, Ellen Johnson, Keegan Jorgensen and Ben Vickstrom saved their best round for last, moving from 16th to 12th.
This allowed Alexandria to finish 2nd in the school competition behind Little Falls.
JHS's team of Morgan Hinzmann, Jade Guenthner, Vini Costa, Christian Thompson and John Turner was 12th going into the last round, but suffered from a "brain drain" to slide to their final finishing spot of 18th, according to coach Julie Duncan.
