Alexandria Golf Club names staff for summer
Ron Rebrovich recently accounced the 2012 staff for the Alexandria Golf Club.
Two Alexandria natives will be found day in and day out at Alexandria's oldest course this summer. Lisa Grimes will be the new director of instruction, and Grant Hanson will be returning as the assistant golf professional.
Grimes was the head golf professional and director of instruction at Geneva Golf Club since 2000. She has been extremely successful as a player and an instructor since 1992 when she became a LPGA Professional.
Her primary focus will be lessons, clinics and working with the Junior Golf Program.
Hanson grew up at the Alexandria Golf Club. He was a captain and a stand out golfer for the Alexandria Cardinals golf team. He also went on to compete for four years at St. Cloud State University (SCSU) where he graduated with a degree in finance.
While a Husky, Hanson and the SCSU team competed in the NCAA National Championship.
The Alexandria Golf Club is one of the premier courses in central Minnesota with 18 championship holes, a full practice facility, and a full service bar and restaurant.
The Alexandria Golf Club was founded in 1915 and currently has more than 300 members. It's also been the home of the Resorters Golf Tournament for the past 91 years.
