Alexandria Covenant Church to host prayer conference October 11-13
Alexandria Covenant Church will host the Journey to Wholeness in Christ prayer conference led by Pastor Bjorn Pedersen, leader of Prayer Watch International, Friday through Sunday, October 11-13.
The conference begins Friday, October 11 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and continues Saturday, October 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
There will be a prayer service Saturday at 7 p.m. on Prayer and Wholeness: God’s Special Touch. Pedersen will also bring the Sunday message, Healing and Wholeness in a Broken World, at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services at Alexandria Covenant Church.
Pedersen first came to the U.S. as an exchange student from Norway. He graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead and Luther Seminary, St. Paul with a master of divinity degree. He received a Ph.D. in theology from Fuller Seminary in California.
A former banker for 16 years in Alexandria, Pedersen grew the United Federal Savings and Loan organization to include six offices in west central Minnesota.
In 1986, Pedersen received a vision of prayer for the Body of Christ. He entered parish ministry and in 1997 launched a worldwide ministry, Prayer Watch International. He has created more than 200 courses on prayer.
He recently returned from a European teaching tour, with eight countries represented at the sessions. He has also taught numerous prayer seminars in Asia, Africa and Central America.
