Alex boys win fourth straight, climb back to .500

The Alexandria boys basketball team’s recent four game winning streak has helped it break the .500 mark in the Central Lakes Conference standings.

The most recent of these victories came in a 61-57 win at home against Fergus Falls Friday. Alexandria led by 11 points at halftime and held on to win by four and move it to 6-5 against CLC opponents this season.

Brandon Bistodeau and John Vogeler both led the Alexandria scoring with 14 points each. Austin Rund had a huge game for Fergus Falls, scoring 31 points. sMathew Monke also scored 12 points for the Otters.

Alexandria’s overall record is 8-8. The Cardinals have one game this week, coming tomorrow night, Thursday, when they welcome in Sartell-St. Stephen (8-7, 4-4 CLC) for a 7:30 tip.
