Alex boys golf slips in CLC

The Alexandria boys’ golf team slipped to third in the Central Lakes Conference standings after finishing fifth at Sartell on Monday.

The Cardinals shot a 325 as Sartell defended its home course with a 312. Fergus Falls shot a 317, Brainerd a 318 and St. Cloud Tech shot a 321.

“It was not one of our better performances as a team,” head coach Rick Larson said. “I know most of the guys were pretty down about their game today.”

Lukas Bigger led the Cardinals with a 77 that left him in fifth place individually. Dan Hennessey shot an 81. Will Odland carded an 83 and Cole Haugen rounded out the scoring with an 84.

The Cardinals now have 20 points in the CLC standings. Fergus Falls leads the league with 24, while St. Cloud Tech has 21 points.
