Alex baseball beats Bemidji to advance to 8AAA title game

The Alexandria baseball team beat Bemidji 8-3 to advance to the 8AAA title game on Wednesday night. 

The Cardinals have to beat Brainerd twice to advance to state. They play the Warriors later tonight in game one and game two, if necessary, will be back in St. Cloud at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Alexandria beat the Lumberjacks behind a seven run fourth inning. Ben Kluver had a two-RBI single in the inning to get the scoring started. Parker Revering then blew the game open with a grand slam that made it 7-0.

Dan Kuhn cruised from there. He got the win after throwing a three-hitter in six innings of work. Kuhn walked six and struck out five.
