Airplane makes unplanned landing on Interstate 94

A light airplane made an unplanned landing on Interstate 94 at exit 242 in North Dakota this morning. There were no injuries in the incident which was reported to law enforcement officers at 10:30 a.m. Exit 242 is near the town of Windsor, about 16 miles west of Jamestown.

Patrick Paul William, of Salem, Ore., was flying a 1941 Taylorcraft plane from Inver Grove, Minn., to Oregon when weather conditions deteriorated. He was alone in the aircraft.
