Adapted bowling defeats Albany
The Alexandria adapted bowling team was led by Zach Long, who recorded the team’s highest single game score in more than four years, in the team’s match versus Albany on Tuesday, March 25.
Both the Cardinals CI and PI teams picked up victories in the meet. Alexandria improved to 2-0 in the CI division while PI moved to 1-0.
Long recorded five consecutive strikes, and he and partner Nicole Duwenhoegger combined to roll a score of 842 in the CI doubles. That fell just out of the reach of their Albany opponents who rolled an 870. Long scored a 440 and Duwenhoegger rolled a 402
In the PI doubles, Jack Botzet and Stephen McCabe combined to win with a score of 743. Botzet scored a 375 and McCabe finished at 368.
Kari Berg scored a 367 and Lily Hjelle carded a 361 for wins in the PI singles.
The CI team earned a victory against Albany with a score of 1,690. This score included individual scores of 473 from David Madison, 399 from Dylan Timm, 405 from Austin Burg and 413 from Lariah Lien.
Madison, Burg, Lien, Duwenhoegger and Long all scored high enough to join the 400 club in the meet.
