Abraham Lincoln to visit Brandon-Evansville
President Abraham Lincoln, played by Dale Blanshan, will visit the Brandon-Evansville Middle School 6th and 7th graders on Wednesday, February 12 from 1:15 to 2 p.m. in the small gym in Evansville. The public is welcome to attend.
Blanshan is a retired minister, attorney and educator who enjoys giving musical and historical programs at libraries, schools, senior housing sites, historical societies and Civil War reenactments.
He has appeared before thousands of residents and patrons in more than 300 institutions in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and Wisconsin. He has portrayed Abraham Lincoln for Civil War reenactments, cemetery dedications, group tours and numerous other events.
This visit is made possible by the Evansville Arts Coalition, which provides arts experiences for children, seniors and residents of Evansville.
