Abbey Road Band to perform Beatles tribute
The Abbey Road Band has been performing its Beatles' tribute show since 2002. It will bring its authentic recreation of the Beatles' sound to a Central Lakes Concert Association (CLCA) concert on Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m. at Jefferson High School in Alexandria. Everyone is welcome.
Headquartered in Rapid City, South Dakota, The Abbey Road Band is well known throughout the Dakotas, having performed for many events, including the 4th of July celebration at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
The band is a group of veteran musicians who are passionate Beatles fans. The emphasis in their tribute is on the music and sound of the Beatles.
They play every part of the Beatles' songs live through the use of synthesizers and digital drums. They also seek to involve the audience as much as possible in their show.
Current CLCA members are reminded to bring their 2013-14 renewals to this concert. New memberships may be purchased at the doors, which open 45 minutes before each event.
A bonus concert in May, featuring the music of John Denver, is part of the new season membership.
To purchase season memberships in advance, contact Jan Johnson at (320) 762-1350, Bernita Darveaux at (320) 763-6248 or Bev Peterson at (218) 685-4667 in Elbow Lake.
