4-H members compete in Regional Project Bowls
Can you name a breed of rabbit that has a compact body type? Do you know where Berkshire swine originated? What is colic? What is a ruminant animal? What are the wing feathers on a chicken called?
The 4-H Project bowl allows youth to study a chosen project more in depth to learn as much as they can about nutrition, breeds, care, genetics, body and conditioning and more.
The Minnesota 4-H Project bowl is the second largest 4-H event after the Minnesota State Fair. Patterned after the golden oldies television show "College Bowl," it challenges teams of three to six youth in their knowledge of certain 4-H project areas.
Six teams from Douglas County 4-H participated in Regional Project Bowl events in Foley and Redwood Falls. The teams marked with an asterisk* went on to compete in the 4-H State Project Bowl on April 21 in Foley.
