Urbank church holds bazaar

Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank is inviting the public to its annual Polka Mass and chicken and ham dinner and bazaar on Sunday, Sept. 2. Polka Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. with polka music by the Night Owls, followed by dinner from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. There will be games, a silent auction, refreshments, music, a beer garden and other family fun.

House of Prayer holds public baptism

House of Prayer Church will hold a church service and a water baptism at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, at the lower level of City Park. Following the service, the church will serve a picnic lunch with hot dogs.

"This will be an exciting service with great music, testimonies sharing the goodness of God and fellowship," the church said in a news release.

Those who wish to be baptized should call the church at 320-762-0828. Dress is casual. People are advised to bring a lawn chair if possible. The church is inviting anyone who wishes to attend.

Kensington church serves ham dinner

Nora Lutheran Lutheran in Kensington will host a fall ham dinner for the public from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16. This annual fundraiser also includes baked potato, corn, cole slaw, cranberries, lefse, buns, Scandinavian goodies, coffee and milk. The church is at 36528 130th St. near Kensington.
