Parade, street dance part of Forada Days

A fun run, softball tournament, kids' games, parade and a street dance are all part of the 2018 Forada Days schedule this weekend.

A kick-off party at the Muddy Boot with comedian Kevin Craft starts things off from 9-11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3. And a Forada First Responder breakfast at the fire hall wraps things up from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Aug. 5.

All of the other activities take place on Saturday.

The fun run begins at 8 a.m., with a vendor/craft fair running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Forada Supper Club. A kids' pedal tractor pull is at 9 a.m. on Main Street, 4-H kids are hosting games behind the old Muddy Boot building from 10 a.m. to noon, and a softball tournament runs all day.

A Lions' Feed, consisting of brats and corn on the cob, is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of City Hall.

The grand parade is at 1 p.m., with grand marshals Gerald and Rosalie Ray, followed by bingo inside City Hall.

Clueless the Balloon Twister, friendship bracelets and face painting are from 2-4 p.m. next to Toby's Park, which is also the site of pig races from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Dan Lee Hypnosis is from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Main Street, and there's a street dance from 7:30 p.m. to midnight with I Witness and Dana & the Bottle Rockets, plus fireworks.
