• Colette Strutz is the fourth quarter recipient of the AmericInn Outstanding Performance Award. Strutz is a housekeeper at the AmericInn of Alexandria. She has been employed with AmericInn for one year, and this is her first time receiving this award.
The Outstanding Performance Award symbolizes the employee’s commitment to outstanding guest services and to its motto: “If we don’t take care of the customer, somebody else will.”
• Scott Larson, an Edward Jones financial advisor in Alexandria, qualified for the firm’s 2014 Financial Advisor Leaders Conference.
The conference recognizes financial advisors who are among the leaders in the financial-services firm. The conference will also provide additional training to help them serve more individual investors in their communities.
Larson was one of only 1,003 financial advisors who qualified out of the firm’s nearly 12,000 financial advisors in the U.S. and Canada. The 2014 conference will be held in May at the firm’s headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri.
• The following members have accepted new roles on the Vikingland Builders Association Board of Directors, effective Wednesday, January 1.
Alan Johnson, Lakes Area Overhead Door Co., will serve the next two years as president.
Jon Haabala, Haabala Construction, Inc., will serve the next two years as vice president.
Matt Gilbertson, Viking Savings Bank, will serve the next year as secretary.
