The new dealership is called Diamond Buick GMC of Alexandria and it’s operating out of the Auto Plaza location on Highway 29 South, which was once known as Lee Motors, a former Buick GMC dealership.

The move will increase the number of the Alexandria dealership’s employees from nine to about 25, according to Jason Thoennes, general manager.

The number of vehicles on the lot is also increasing. It now has nearly 300 vehicles.

The dealership offers Buick/GMC new and used car sales, along with parts, warranty and service work. “We’ve got everything now,” said Thoennes. “We’re bursting at the seams.”
