Ecumen Bethany Community receives award

Ecumen Bethany Community in Alexandria, provider of senior services, announced that Bethany Home is the recipient of Pinnacle Quality Insight’s 2014 Customer Experience Awards.

It qualified for the award in the categories of overall satisfaction, nursing care, dining service, cleanliness, individual needs, communication from facility, response to problems, recommended to others, activities, and overall satisfaction.

Patrick McDonald, executive director of Ecumen Bethany Community, said, “We are extremely proud of these awards. They show how much trust and confidence the residents and their families place toward the services and care we offer. The awards would not have been achieved without the excellent and dedicated staff we have working with us.”

Over the course of 2013, a sampling of Bethany Home’s customers and their families participated in monthly telephone interviews that included open-ended questions, as well as the opportunity to rate Bethany Home in specific categories.

Every month, the Bethany campus gathered its real-time survey results in order to gain a better understanding of the residents’ needs and make improvements when necessary.

By qualifying for the Pinnacle Customer Experience Award, Bethany Home has scored in the top 15 percent of the nation across a 12-month average.

Clients have the opportunity to achieve this Best in Class distinction on a monthly basis in many categories designed to accurately reflect each resident’s experience.

A customer satisfaction measurement firm with more than 17 years of experience in long-term health care, Pinnacle conducts more than 100,000 surveys a year and works with more than 1,500 clients in 47 states, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Locally, Ecumen Bethany Community offers independent living, housing with services, care center, memory care/assisted living household, adult day services, senior fitness center and short term rehabilitation on campus.
