Alexandria Evening Lions present sight awards
The Alexandria Evening Lions Club recently presented Dave Lundy and Jack Bailey, both of Alexandria, with Helen Keller Sight Awards.
The men are active members of the Lions organization. Lundy has been a member of the Alexandria Evening Lions since 1973 and has served as a president and board member. Bailey has been a member of the club since 2007 and has also been a past board member.
Helen Keller Sight Awards are given to honor those who have distinguished themselves on behalf of sight. Lions clubs make a $1,000 donation to the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank, the Lions Children's Eye Clinic or the MAC Center for each award it wants to present.
The recipient receives a plaque, pin and their name is displayed on a Helen Keller board in the Lions Children's Eye Clinic.
