Land rent workshop set
Farmers and landowners will be able to learn more about land rent during a workshop sponsored by the University of Minnesota Extension of Douglas County.
Extension educator Nathan Hulinsky, who specializes in agriculture business management, will lead the workshop. Attendees can choose from two sessions, 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Douglas County Public Works Building, 526 Willow Drive in Alexandria.
The workshop will cover production outlook for area crops, current land rental rate trends, lease arrangement options, how to determine a fair rental rate and negotiation skills.
