--Design Tree Engineering recently promoted Dan Folsom and Jeremy Anderson to the positions of president and vice president.

Folsom's promotion reflects his role in helping lead Design Tree with an office expansion in St. Cloud. Folsom has relocated to the St. Cloud area from Alexandria to manage the growth in Design Tree's St. Cloud operation while overseeing the company's overall operation.

Anderson's expanded role as vice president provides the day-to-day office management in Alexandria as well as increased responsibilities for client management and business development. Anderson has been integral in establishing Design Tree's municipal engineering sector and leveraging opportunities in the North Dakota oil patch.

Design Tree Engineering provides full service mechanical/electrical/civil engineering and land surveying services out of the Alexandria and St. Cloud offices.

--Caring Hands Dental Clinic is proud to announce the addition of Hannah Peterson of Alexandria to their growing staff. Peterson will be a registered dental hygienist at the clinic.

Peterson graduated from the hygiene program at the University of Minnesota Dental School with previous education from the University of Wisconsin and the Alexandria Technical College.

Caring Hands Dental Clinic provides dental care and education to citizens served by Minnesota Health Care Programs through PrimeWest Health Systems and others.

--Malinda Olhoft of Barrett recently joined AFLAC, a renewable insurance company. Olhoft was honored with several awards from AFLAC, including AFLAC's fast start, super-fast start and, most recently, fireball fast start. At AFLAC's state meeting in August, Olhoft was presented with AFLAC's second place in second quarter trophy in Minnesota.

--Sheila Smesrud, DPT, is a recipient of Knute Nelson's (KN) Tree of Excellence award. This award is the highest level of recognition through the KN employee recognition program.

Smesrud was nominated by her peers who said that she is "a great ambassador for Knute Nelson," "knowledgeable, professional and always has a 'can do' attitude," and "always willing to help a co-worker or lend a hand when needed."
