Tom Sinning inducted into builders' hall of fame

Alexandria native Tom Sinning of Marvin Windows was presented with the state building industry's most prestigious award - being inducted into the Minnesota Building Industry's Hall of Fame.

Sinning was among a select group of 15 honorees who were recognized last weekend by the Builders Association of Minnesota (BAM) at the Minnesota Builders convention in Brainerd.

Sinning has been an active member of the builders association for nearly 20 years. He was a charter member of his local association Vikingland Builders Association (VBA) and has chaired nearly every committee at both his local and the state association.

Sinning joined the BAM board in 1991 and was elected BAM president in 1997, and has since been actively involved with the foundation and on the BAM board.

Sinning and Marvin Windows have been dedicated to the building industry and been instrumental in shaping the association at the local, state and national levels, according to BAM.

BAM is a St. Paul-based trade association representing more than 4,800 members involved in home building, remodeling, multifamily construction, and other aspects of residential and light commercial construction industry.
